This article describes how to search for sex offenders in the state of Georgia.

Search the state of Georgia public sex offender registry at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation website at http://services.georgia.gov/gbi/gbisor/SORSearch.jsp

Search for sex offenders by name, address, county, or zip code. Enter the information for the type of search you are interested in.

Click on “Search” to see a list of sex offenders in the area.

Click on each sex offender to see more detailed information such as the name, address, age, photo of the sex offender, and crime information.

·         The sex offender information is public information and is a way for the public to be aware of their community and community safety.

·         Not all sex offenders are repeat offenders, so if you live near a sex offender, do not assume that person will commit a crime again. That person may be rehabilitated and functioning normally in society. Do not use the information to confront or harass individuals.
