When searching for a place to live or when moving to a new neighborhood, safety is one of the most important factors, especially the safety of your children. To increase safety and awareness, most sex offenders have to be registered in a public registry and it is public information available to everyone. This article describes how to search for sex offenders in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Search the state of Florida public sex offender and predators registry at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement website at http://offender.fdle.state.fl.us/offender/Search.jsp

Click on Guided Search under Offender Search.

Check “Offender’s County of Residence” and click “Next”

Select Miami-Dade for the county and click “Next”

Click on “Search Now” to see the list of sex offenders in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Click on each sex offender to see more detailed information such as the name, address, age, photo of the sex offender, and crime information. You can also see a map showing the location of each offender.

• The sex offender information is public information and is a way for the public to be aware of their community and community safety.
