How to Identify Signs or Symptoms of Chickenpox

Chickenpox is not as common as it used to be; however, it is still around. Follow the steps below to help determine whether you or your child has chickenpox.

Determine whether you have a red, itchy rash that may appear like insect bites initially.

Determine whether you have small blisters filled with liquid that break open and have a tendency to crust over.

In addition to the rash above, you may have fever, mild headache, loss of appetite or abdominal pain, or a dry cough.
If you suspect you have chickenpox, consult your physician immediately.
