Coming in contact with poison ivy can be frustrating and often times, you don’t even think to consider poison ivy because you weren’t in a wooded area. Follow the steps below to help identify whether you have a rash from poison ivy.

Determine whether you have redness on your skin in the affected area.

Determine whether you have itching or swelling in the infected area.

Determine whether you have any blisters in the affected area.

The rash usually develops in 12 to 48 hours of exposure and may last up to 3 weeks.
