To identify the symptoms and signs of salmonella food poisoning, follow the steps below:

Identify whether you have diarrhea;

Identify whether you have fever;

Identify whether you have abdominal cramps;

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning usually present themselves within 12 to 72 hours after the infection occurs.  Typically, salmonella food poisoning will run its course and you will become better within 5-7 days.  However, if diarrhea becomes severe or if you have severe complications, go to the hospital or emergency room.  If you suspect you have salmonella poisoning from food or eggs, contact your physician or doctor.
